Borough Market

Borough Market is touted to be one of the largest fresh food markets in London. Loads of fresh fruits and street eats to be had. More of a place to grab great tasting local produce.

Ordered On 25th Jan2017
*(L) Labinese Beef with rice and pulled lamb with salad and spiced rice. Pulled lamb was a little dry but works well with the cool yogurt. (C) Scottish egg. Onsen egg with fried pork meat, served with sweet potato fries. Pretty good! (R) And fresh ricotta and spinach pasta, still a home run from 2years back!
Fed 4 at about 10pounds each. All were pretty good but the fresh pasta served out back is still a must return to!*

Ordered on 9thJuly2015

Tortelloni Crab £7.90

The best home made pasta I've ever had. It beats many Italian joints in Milan, and Rome even. A hearty filling of sweet crab, with your drizzle of fragrant, quality olive oil and cheese. To die for and absolutely delicious. A definite must order whilst trying all the other street eats in Borough Market.
Pork Belly & Crackling with Branley Apple Sauce £6.50

Crackling is good and the meat pulls apart easily. The sweet apple sauce really is a nice touch and balances out the saltiness with a little sweet.

X2 Oysters at £1.50 each
Cheese, potatoes and gurkins £6

Fattening much? Calories galore. More of a novelty than anything else. Toasted/molten cheese over steamed potatoes and gurkins. A simple, comfort food dish.
Cherries £1.50

 Fed2:Total £24.90

Borough markets sits below the train tracks, offering cheap local buys and an array of great eats. Worth a pit stop before visiting the rest of London.

Compared to Camden markets, a more hippie town with more tourist stuff to buy, Borough market though smaller, is a little more organized in its layout and has more local eating options.

Tower Bridge
Often mistaken as the London bridge, the picturesque tower bridge frames the River Thanes beautifully. On one side lays the tower of London, where on memorial day, is respectfully and beautifully laden with poppy flowers.

The London Bridge in the distance where we crossed from.
